About LabelPatterns.org
LabelPatterns.org began as student work in the Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington (Seattle) and is now being maintained and expanded by a small group of volunteers. The website was launched in August 2011. It will grow and mature over time. Here is a detailed description of the entire project.
Project Team
David K. Farkas is an HCDE Professor whose professional interests are technical communication and information design.
Jerrod Larson is a user experience specialist at a U.S. aerospace company with a recent Ph.D. from HCDE in the area of environmental communication. Jerrod's background includes extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative user research and user interface design.
Steve Naranjo is a UX designer who recently graduated from HCDE. Steve serves as web designer and web developer of LabelPatterns.org.
Jean Farkas enjoyed a long career as a technical editor working for a broad range of employers and free-lance clients. She now volunteers for various non-profit organizations as an editor, graphic designer, and project manager.
